12+ Most Popular Fire Force Couples

Perhaps it is because Fire Force (Enen no Shouboutai) is still relatively new, or maybe people don’t see it as a main stream anime yet.

It would explain the almost empty “ships” section on the shipping fandom site (it only had Shinra x Arthur last time I checked) and the generally vague results on Google when searching for Fire Force couples.

I decided that someone needed to lay the groundwork for these beautiful ships to get some attention online, seeing the state of things at hand. I went through some forums, Reddit pages and Pinterest pages to find out which characters people were shipping together (obviously, this article is not my ship list. These are the ships that people are actually interested in. If you wanna know mine, it’s either Shinra x Tamaki or Hinawa x Maki)

Ships of the Straight Fire Force

Shinra x Tamaki

Probably the most popular ship on the planet is Hinra x Tamaki, and we all know why. Having seen Shinra and Tamaki get caught up in Tamaki’s “lucky lewd” quirks and end up in some quite erotic situations, it’s only natural to root for them.

Lisa x Vulcan

Vulcan x Lisa one is a canon ship. It’s pretty obvious from the anime and manga that they’re in love.

Maki x Hinawa

Both Hinawa and Maki have completely different personalities which I think would make their relationship fun and spicy!

Iris x Shinra

In the beginning of the anime, I thought Shinra and Iris would be sailing together. But right now, I’m more on Shinra’s side than Iris’.

As shown in the anime, Shinra blushed when Iris was close to him when they visited Vulcan’s place.

Assault x Tamaki

The two were enemies and out to kill each other (well, Tamaki did smash his skull in at the end), but seeing Assault get flustered over Tamaki during the fight made some fans root for this ship.

Shinra x Hibana

Although Hibana’s love for Shinra is obvious at this point, it doesn’t stop fans from shipping them together. Hibana x Shinra is probably the second most popular Fire Force ship.

Hibana x Obi

It wouldn’t be surprising if Obi and Hibana started dating because they were captains and stayed back most of the time.

Arthur x Iris

Arthur and Iris have a lot in common. They’re both relatively dense (Arthur is beyond saving). And they even have the same hair color (What? I don’t think I want to mention anything else.)

Gay Fire Force Couples

Arthur x Shinra

From what I have seen, there are only two kinds of people when it comes to Shinra x Arthur: the ones who love it and the ones who hate it.

Shinra x Obi

They’re like brothers, if anything, but someone mentioned this ship in the Reddit page. So here we are. (I have to respect all opinions and remain neutral.)

Konro x Benimaru

Such strong bonds might lead them to end up as a couple. Benimaru and Konro are best friends who would die for each other.

Iris x Hibana

In the anime, these two are definitely close to each other, and they love each other (in a not so romantic way.) However, there are a few fans who would like to see them together as a couple.

Tamaki x Maki

In hopes that there will be others who share the same views as this random stranger, I’ve added this ship to the list.
