This article will list All Of the Dragon Ball Series, from the beginning to now, in chronological order.
Drangon Ball is one of the most popular anime franchises. It’s the Shonen manga company that created several ground rules and served as a launching pad for other shonen shows. One of its primary reasons for its success is the variety and compellingness of its characters, who each bring something new to the table. Every character, particularly the villains, becomes likable and memorable in their own way.
Dragon Ball was revolutionary for anime. One of the main reasons for its popularity was Son Goku, the franchise’s main protagonist. He set a trend for the majority of the main characters in animes made since then, as well as being one of the first anime heroes to grow from a child to an adult. Changing the hero’s appearance was not common in my time (that is ancient history for us), but back then it seemed like an unpopular choice.
Dragon Ball, a popular manga series, is comprised of 7 TV Series, 20 films, 4 OVAs, and 5 Special episodes. The show contains 848 Official Episodes that were produced by Toei Animation. There are also fan animations and fan service shows based on the characters created by Akira Toriyama. However, they are not officially animated by Toei Animation.
No matter how famous the show is, so many people still don’t know the right order to watch this amazing anime. So, without any delay, let’s explore our All Of the Dragon Ball Series In A Complete Watching Order!
1. Dragon Ball – The Opening Seasons for All Of the Dragon Ball Series
“Dragon Ball” is a well-known anime television series that emphasizes the personal battles of the main character: Goku. This series has a total of 153 episodes, each composed of 20-25 minutes of content and aired between 1986-89. “Dragon Ball” depicts Goku’s childhood adventures, as he searches for all 7 dragon balls around the world. A “Dragon Ball” is a ball, which fulfills any wish of the person who gets all seven of them.
Every saga in this series is very interesting, and each of them includes a lot of fighting sequences. They show Goku’s increasing power with intense training. In the first saga, “Hunt for the Dragon Balls Saga,” Goku makes new friends like Bulma, Yamucha, Pu Erh, and Oolong. After meeting with Master Roshi, Goku started learning martial arts skills alongside his friend Krillin.
The Tenkaichi tournament is the most important thing in Dragon Ball since it brought together different fighters from across the world. It not only has unique characters, but also an interesting and exciting story that’s filled with action! The Red Ribbon Army are also a group of villains in this series who want to conquer the world for their own evil goals. With everything on the line, Goku and his team have been fighting hard and try to fail with their plans.
The King Piccolo and Piccolo Junior are the series’ most powerful villains who are essentially the Namekians. Goku had faced great difficulty in fighting them, especially against Piccolo Junior. At the end of the series, Goku married Chi Chi, the daughter of Ox King, and lived with her.
2. Dragon Ball Z
Dragon Ball Z is a masterpiece of the franchise that established its popularity around the world. It’s a sequel to the Dragon Ball series, and it has 325 chapters of manga. And Dragon Ball Z airing made the series reach the top and become one of the most popular in All Of the Dragon Ball Series.
Though it still features many amazing fighting scenes, Dragon Ball Z has major differences from the rest of the series. One of these is the introduction of Gohan, Goku’s son, and his early history, which gives insight into his goal in life. Throughout the series, Vegeta, Goku’s biggest rival and one of the most powerful characters in the show, also asks for change as he struggles to find meaning in this world of fighting.
Akira gave the transformations to three well-known DBZ characters: Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan. The transformation scene when Goku turns into a Super Saiyan is arguably the most classic scene in this series to this day. People still remember this form as well as this iconic moment, more than 30 years later. Vegeta also gets transformed into Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2 forms, but his Majin Vegeta form is what keeps him as one of the most popular characters in the series. As for Majin Vegeta’s popularity? Most people are proud of his speech: “Pride” and would like to connect with his evil side.
This series, among All Of the Dragon Ball Series, has a lot of interesting things that make it popular around the world. These things include Saiyan, Super Saiyan forms, Fusion techniques, Androids, and new powerful villains. Each character in the show has his or her own unique Super Saiyan form that attracts viewers to the series. The Fusion technique combines two bodies into one, and it is the most powerful technique in the series.
3. Dragon Ball GT
Ultimately, among All Of the Dragon Ball Series, Dragon Ball GT is hardly a representation of the franchise. But in recent years, it’s become somewhat more popular and has seen improvement in its reputation. The series was first made by Toei Animation studios and different from Toriyama’s original manga; it only lasted 64 episodes, while they were aired from 1996 to 1997 on Fuji TV. As the name suggests, Super Saiyan 4 is one of the best aspects of this series.
DB GT is an anime based on the Dragon Ball series. It generally has lackluster fight choreography and a lousy ending note to the series’ continuity-focusing mostly on the journey of Goku and his granddaughter, Pan. The story introduces new black star dragon balls-that grant unlimited wishes without limitations-as well as Goku turning into a child during battle due to Emperor Pilaf’s treachery. Now, it’s up to Goku to recover these Lost dragon balls that have spread across the universe in order to continue fighting the good fight!
The Baby Saga, Super Android 17 Saga, and the Shadow Dragons Saga are all very interesting and worth watching. If you love high-octane fighting scenes, the Baby Saga is the perfect choice. The Super Android 17 Saga connects the character’s world to hell by using a twisted portal. The Shadow Dragons
4. Dragon Ball Z Kai
Dragon Ball Z Kai is an alternate version of the original Dragon Ball Z that was released to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the DB franchise. It consists of 98 episodes and was released on TV in 2009 to 2011 on Fuji TV. It contains the same story as the original but with a lower number of episodes. This series has excellently shortened down 291 episodes down to 167.
This is a translation to the new series featuring many improvements on action sequences and picture quality with advanced technology. It also re-edits most of the scenes from the original series in order to improve the pacing. But remember that it’s not as good as the first sagas of Dragon Ball Z in All Of the Dragon Ball Series.
The Cell Saga is a popular saga of the Dragon Ball Z Kai. It features some of the best animation from the series, and it begins in this saga, with Goku’s son Gohan getting the lead role. He brilliantly takes advantage of this chance to become a popular character. Gohan is the first hybrid saiyan who had more potential than any other saiyan. He also triggered a new form of Super Saiyan called Super Saiyan 2. In battle against Perfect Cell during the Cell Games, he showed his incredible power as well.

Dragon Ball Z’s Majin Buu saga is the best saga among All Of the Dragon Ball Series. It has excellent fighting sequences and a thrilling narrative. The only villain more difficult for Goku and his team to defeat than other villains is Kid Buu, which may be because he’s powered by pure energy before his body fully forms. Goku’s Super Saiyan 3, Vegeta’s Super Saiyan 2 and Vegito’s Super Saiyan are not capable of defeating Kid Buu.
6. Dragon Ball Super

It also offers a superior production style with its amazing animation, fighting scenes, and character development.
Dragon Ball Super gives a new perspective on the world after the ten-year skip and what Goku and co. have gone through. It starts off with introducing Beerus, Whismi, and Bills into the series. Dragon Ball Super also has a lot of things that play a major role in its popularity. One of those is the Tournament of Power, which is similar to Tenkaichi or World Martial Arts Tournament, but completely different from them. It is a competition of powerful warriors across different universes to protect it. And one form that’s become incredibly popular throughout the series is Goku’s Ultra Instinct form; it increased Goku’s character development to new heights and made him wildly popular around the world.
7. Super Dragon Ball Heroes – The newest in All Of the Dragon Ball Series
