In early 2020, Tite Kubo, creator of Bleach and Shonen Jump, announced that the Bleach anime would return to complete its final Bleach Thousand Year Blood War. That same month, Tite Kubo launched a new series entitled “Burn the Witch”. The announcement included an image with a reproduction of the original Bleach Theme on the background.
There was lots of hype surrounding the release of this final arc, with the news that the popular work of Kubo sensei will return in 2022. Bleach fans have been clamoring for more action in the form of an anime adaptation.
In this final arc, we will see the Quincy’s, who are also known as “The Ones Without Borders.” Fans of the manga know the truth about the Quincys, but those who only watch the anime are unaware of the mysterious clan. So, as the return of Bleach is closing in on us, here is everything we know so far.
Which chapter does the Bleach Thousand Year Blood War Arc currently in?
The Bleach anime is currently on Episode 366 and has started with Episode 377 which follows the Thousand Years of Blood War Arc, where the Quincy invade the Soul Society.
Bleach’s anime series is scheduled to end with Chapter 686 and the “Blood War Arc.”
Short story: Bleach Thousand Years of Blood War: What studio will animate this brief arc in the anime?
Studio Pierrot will begin working on the next season of Bleach and drawing some exciting, new scenes, and also the Bleach Thousand Year Blood War Arc.
Studio Pierrot is the studio that originally adapted the Bleach manga into an anime until the end of the last episode, and they will continue their legacy with Bleach. This studio has done amazing work in the anime community with the likes of Naruto Shippuden, Great Teacher Onizuka, Yu Yu Hakusho, etc. They are working with some newer anime shows like Black Clover and Boruto!
There were rumors that Mappa was going to be the studio that will come forth and animate one of the most popular Shonen anime ever, which is one of the top three animes. However, this was finalized and Pierrot continued to animate Bleach instead.
The Animation Studio has already released a trailer for their upcoming Bleach arc, which excited anime fans around the world. The quality of the animation throughout the arc might determine whether or not Bleach can come back with a bang. If that’s the case, then it will crush all other ongoing anime like a steamroller.
What is expected to be the number of episodes in the Bleach TYBW anime?
When the manga is finished, the anime adaptation will follow My Hero Academia’s strategy of splitting it up into seasons, which takes time to create. We’ll probably see 15-20 episodes per season, and about 100 for the end of Bleach Thousand Year Blood War Arc.
With Bleach at 100 chapters left, there’s a lot more to come! Who knows if they’ll get serialized again. It was 10 years ago when the last episode aired!
Bleach Thousand Year Blood War – The Realease Date.
After the official trailer of Bleach Thousand Year Blood War was posted on YouTube, fans will be able to stream the final season starting in October 2022. A lot more promotional hype for the series is on its way before the release of the final season.
The two companies will make the announcement when they come up with a date.
Bleach Thousand Year Blood War – Major Events
Volume 8 of the Bleach manga contained major events in the Bleach Thousand Year Blood War War Arc.
- A day in the life of one Sternritter, seen through the eyes of a member of the Soul Society.
- Ichigo, the Kisuke and Hirako triple.
- New Bankai releases.
When the Sternritters invaded Soul Society
The Sternritters are a Quincy group created 1,000 years ago for the sole purpose of ending the Soul Reapers and destroying Soul Society. They are key actors in the Thousand Year War arc.
Ywach, the Quincy god, has carved these sternritters during an engraving ritual and has distributed his holy power into them. After a quincy is carved by Ywach, it turns into a unique symbol. And the quincy is gifted with mysterious powers. The Sternritters are a group of powerful fighters who are said to be even more powerful than every Captain in Soul Society.
Some Quincys were not given any special powers by Yhwach. Among them are Gerard Valkyrie and Pernida Parnkgjas, who received a letter. Their uniforms match those of members of the Sternritter. It’s the opposite of Soul Reaper suits, which are black. They carry a medallion that has the Wandenreich logo on it.
The Sternritter was originally a group of nine Vizards that were created from the blood of the Quincy God Ywach. When they enter the battlefield, they steal their opponent’s Bankai and take their powers. They’re able to use their own powers, but not their full bankai because for them to use it, they must give up a life-force of a Soul Reaper and not kill them outright. This is why as soon as one member of Sternritter dies, all his powers are returned back to Yhwach because in order for them to be so strong, they need to receive his DNA via a child born from him.
The return of Aizen
Nobody is safe from development, not even the “heroes” we’ve come to like and watch out for! New captains who have been a part of the Gotei 13 seem to be popping up lately, like Shinji, Lisa, Kensei and so many more, who are new additions to the Gotei 13. They were all falsely labelled as traitors when they were framed by Aizen and his plans.
As Shunsui Kyoraku and Sosuke Aizen clash during the battle of Shinigamis and Sternritters.
Aizen is arguably one of the strongest Soul Reaper in the Soul Society. He asks for Aizen’s help and then, surprisingly, Aizen agrees to his plans. But on his own terms, naturally. This takes us to where Yhwach enters the Gotei 13 Palace, and Aizen welcomed him by saying “Welcome to My Soul Society.”
Yhwach continues to question Aizen about his decision to protect Shinigami. Aizen replies that the reason he is doing this is because he just wants to defeat him for the pleasure. Later on, he joins forces with Kurosaki Ichigo to defeat the Quincy God Ywach.
A New Grimmjow is Reborn
Urahara Kisuke goes and brings on Grimmjow, the former Espada. There’s a saying that Urahara made a contract with Grimmjow, which he agreed to. The next fight in the series takes place between Urahara and Askin Nakk Le Vaar, when Urahara activates his Bankai for the first time in the series and shocks everyone. His Bankai, Kanonbiraki Benehime, can break and reconstruct everything at will.
Will there be new Bankai releases?
The latest arc of Bleach will have plenty of interesting things for fans to follow. Here are some examples of what you can expect to see: Captain Kenpachi’s Bankai, Urahara Kisuke’s Bankai, Captain Toshiro’s real Bankai and Unohana’s new head captain, Shunsui Kyoraku’s Bankai.
Fans of One-Punch Man are probably aware by now that Genryusai Yamamoto gets slash in half by Ywach. But this final arc will answer all the lingering plot-holes and unanswered questions for the fan base.
The Entertainment, Miku Hatsune, is a Japanese singer who has been idolized by anime fans worldwide. The community is thrilled to see her live-action debut in 2001’s Live ‘n Learn!
Bleach might be one of the best anime ever made. However, it’s hard to say what would happen if it were released in today’s time with the increasing amount of competition.
